Missy Elliott Joins Cast Of Pharrell Williams Musical - The latest casting for director Michel Gondry and producer Pharrell Williams' new, not yet titled Universal Pictures feature? Missy Elliot! The Grammy-winning artist's role is still under wraps, just like all the other roles are. She'll be working alongside previously announced castmembers such as Halle Bailey, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Brian Tyree Henry.  We don't know too much about the film just yet, but we do know that it's set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977. It's said to be a coming-of-age musical that inspired by the neighborhood where Pharrell grew up.

Lindsay Lohan And Rachel McAdams Interested In Doing A "Mean Girls" Sequel: Two of the Plastics are reportedly in. Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, who played Cady and Regina in the original "Mean Girls" film in 2004, have both expressed interest in revisiting their roles, according to sources. These sources say Lohan wants the project to happen and currently has a good relationship with everyone in the franchise, and McAdams would be down for a sequel if "everything presented to her made sense."

Jennifer Connelly Says She's Up For "Top Gun 3": With "Top Gun: Maverick" taking over the world in 2022, what's the status - and is there a status - on "Top Gun 3?" Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the first two "Top Gun" films, said last month that an idea for a third movie was pitched to Tom Cruise, and he liked it, but "he's a very in-demand actor and he's got a lot of movies lined up, so we have to wait and see." What about the rest of the cast? Co-stars Miles Teller and Glen Powell have already said they'd be interested in returning, and now Jennifer Connelly, who played love interest Penny Benjamin in the sequel has also chimed in that she'd be on board if a third movie comes together. Connelly told "ET," "I'll be there. I'm ready," when asked what her level of interest was in returning to the role. She also pointed to her positive experience filming "Top Gun: Maverick" as the reason why she would return to the film series, saying, "We had such a great time shooting it. It was fun." Looks like it rests on Tom Cruise's very busy shoulders if a third Top Gun movie is to be.

Both comedians will also be serving as executive producers in addition to their hosting duties, too.  This isn't the first time the two are working together. They hosted "2022 Back That Year Up" together for Peacock. Kevin also has some prior Olympics experience, as he joined Snoop Dogg during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics for an "Olympic Highlights" series for Peacock, too.

A Live-Action "Scooby-Doo" Series Is In Development At Netflix: Reports are that Netflix is close to securing a live-action "Scooby -Doo" series. The one-hour drama project is said to be nearing a deal at the streamer with a script-to-series commitment. Details are scarce, other than that the project will be based on the original "Scooby-Doo" animated series. Over the years there have been multiple live-action film adaptations of the animated classic, but this would be the first serialized live-action version. No official comment from any of the involved parties as yet.

The film was released to theaters in 1970, and in a low-quality form to home video in 1981. Now, Disney+ will begin streaming the documentary film May 8.

2025 Super Bowl Price Point For TV Ad: $7-Million: OK, businesses, start saving up. Fox Corp’s 2025 broadcast of Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 9, 2025, has advertising slots available and according to "Variety," three different reports indicate the asking price for a 30-second ad will start at $7-million. That price would be a slightly higher starting point than last year, when Paramount Global initially sought between $6.5-million and $7-million for thirty seconds of air time. February's Super Bowl set viewership records, so Fox is apparently banking on those numbers carrying forward and scoring them a huge payday.

The Rock & Ryan Reynolds May Have Butted Heads - Rumors have been stirring that Dwayne Johnson has been coming to work late while shooting “Red One,” but there’s more being thrown in. Amazon has quickly come out to say that the buzz is BS. They doubled down adding "Any reporting that implies that we got to this point with him showing up 7-8 hours late to set is both ridiculous and false."  Then, someone decided to bring up that The Rock and Ryan Reynolds had a “tiff” while shooting “Red Notice” because supposedly Johnson was late. It turns out that Reynolds only pulled him aside to ask that he be mindful of time. They were shooting during COVID and there were strict rules in place. Considering the pair are in production for “Red Notice 2,” now, all is well.

"Same, same," Spelling agreed, before addressing Evans' husband, Jay Barker, who was off to the side. "Jay, well, I don't know if you're open to this, but would you impregnate both of us? Barbra Streisand Dragged For Questioning Whether Ozempic Was Responsible For Melissa McCarthy's Weight Loss: Melissa McCarthy looks great. Barbra Streisand posted in the comments, "Give him my regards did you take Ozempic?" Streisand ultimately deleted her comment - but not before users came at her for the question. "Babs. No, honey. Just no," responded one follower. "Major boomer aunt with wine and an ipad energy,” commented another. Realizing her slip-up, Streisand explained, saying "She looked fantastic! I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot the world is reading!" Chris Hemsworth Reveals Son Is Named After Brad Pitt Character: When it comes to naming one's children, inspiration can come from a number of sources: family or friend names, where they were born, or just two parents agreeing they like the sound of a particular name. Chris Hemsworth went another route. The actor told "Vanity Fair" recently that when it came to naming his son Tristan, he went for a character from a movie he watched as a kid - "Legends Of The Fall." In the movie, Brad Pitt plays a man named Tristan Ludlow, and as Hemsworth says, "There's never been a more beautiful man on screen." He rewatched the movie with wife Elsa Pataky when she was pregnant and asked her, "Is this not the coolest character in the world? I think one of our kids needs to be named Tristan." Apparently, she agreed, as one of his newborn twins was given the name. As for his other twin son, Sasha, he was named after a stuntman friend of the actor. No word on if the original Sasha was also a beautiful man.

Rainn Wilson Is Over Jell-O Pranks - And Wishes Fans Were Too: It was the very first cold open gag for "The Office," and it haunts Rainn Wilson to this day. For those unfamiliar, in the very first episode of the US version of "The Office," Jim (John Krasinski) pulled a prank on Dwight (Wilson) by encasing his stapler in Jell-O. That episode aired in 2005, and Wilson is still getting pranked by fans of the show. On a recent trip to Italy, room service delivered his cutlery encased in Jell-O, and now Wilson's worried that by posting a pic on Instagram, copycat pranks are inevitable. "I posted that thing on Instagram about my silverware and Jell-O in Italy. My fear is that I won't be able to go anywhere without stuff being put in Jell-O," Wilson told "People" at Homeboy Industries' Lo Maximo 2024 Awards Dinner Saturday. "I think it's time to move on." As Dwight Schrute would have told Wilson, you admit a gag is getting to you - that's just going to bring about more of the same.

It has been the most challenging couple days for him but in true Anthony fashion, he continues     to smile and make those around him laugh,” she wrote, adding that Anthony’s “excited to get back to his strong and active self.”

Motley Crue Teases Another "Secret" Club Show Under A Fake Name - Last year, Motley Crue played a gig at the small Underworld club in London under the name “Dogs of War.” Now that their new single, also named “Dogs of War,” is out, it looks like the band is going to do it again under another fake name. The band posted a flyer on social media for a show on May 6th at New York’s Bowery Ballroom for a concert by the band “1981”…which is Crue. The show’s happening right after the rockers finish up a two-night stand in Atlantic City to start their 2024 tour, so it makes sense.  Tickets for the “secret” show go on sale Friday.

Black Sabbath Ballet Announces International Tour - Black Sabbath is hitting the road again…sort of. After the success of “Black Sabbath – The Ballet” last year, the ballet is hitting the road for an international tour this year plus dates in America next year. The show includes reorchestrated Black Sabbath songs plus new music inspired by the band, performed live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.

Here’s the lineup:

June 12th – 15th – Luxor Theatre, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

June 19th – 20th – Grand Theatre de la Ville de Luxembourg

    July 9th – 10th – Staatsoper, Hamburg, Germany

    June 4th – 8th – The Kennedy Center Opera House, Washington, D.C.

During the opening performance last year, Tony Iommi went on stage and played guitar on “Paranoid,” so who knows what surprises will happen on the new dates.
